This free training is aimed at achieving the following:
- Differentiating kinds of opioids
- Reviewing the Opioid Epidemic evolution
- Recognizing signs and symptoms of opioid overdose
- Evaluating the risk factors of overdose
- Familiarizing with the Good Samaritan Law
- Learning about the Center of Treatment Innovation (COTI) and the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
- Describing NARCAN/Naloxone
- Learning how to administer NARCAN® Nasal Spray to reverse an overdose
- Reporting the use of NARCAN® Nasal Spray matters
Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a kit consisting of two doses of NARCAN® Nasal Spray, gloves, alcohol wipes, rescue breathing mask, a certificate of completion, and all free of charge.
